SIMCOE + Norfolk County | Construction news and development

At Sydenham and Culver, where The Brick is located downtown, a developer with a numbered company is proposing an 8-storey, 67-unit building. They propose 63 parking spaces despite not being required to include any.

Indwell has a project under construction at the former Norfolk Inn for a 3-storey, 50-unit affordable housing community that will be named Dogwood Suites. More info here

This is under construction right now in Port Dover next to the beach. It's quite large for the area.

No renderings, but the former Gamble shipyard on Lynn Street in Port Dover is also expected to redevelop with 375 condominium units.

A second proposal, also from a numbered company, for an 8-storey, 174-unit apartment building (I think that would be the largest single residential building in Norfolk County) in Simcoe, this one at Queen and Kars.

Over in Hagersville in Haldimand County, a 5-storey condo called The Jackson is proposed with no details about exact location yet

yup. I was in Dover a few weeks ago and the street presence of that one is terrible. I guess the silver lining is the density will do good for the downtown, however small it may be?

I can see some popular AirBnBs popping up in this building for sure.

Drove past this one and it's nearing completion. It's right next to the old Anglican Church on Hwy 6. Couldn't get a picture but found these photos from a few months back:

33 apartments in two low-rise buildings proposed in Norfolk (one in Simcoe, one in Delhi) have been approved by council.
