Haha it seems to expedite the process if you draw up a diagram of the building if you're interested!

Oh interesting! I actually did a drawing for it too I thought the building needed to exist in the database first though. Would I just need to attach my drawing to my post? Or would I just add the renders that were provided by the developer?

Three five-story apartment buildings on the corner of Enterprise Way and Hawthorne Drive were just announced, along with another five-story at 8380 Wyandotte St E. Nothing huge, but a couple of nice infill projects on some vacant parcels.

Windsor Star article: https://windsorstar.com/news/local-n...-the-east-side

I was able to find the developer's site for the Wyandotte St E project, however I wasn't able to find anything for the 3-building proposal. Both projects currently look to be applying for zoning changes

That’s for city proper, the numbers for the CMA are also very impressive.

Hopefully this continues to drive the current string of developments being announced, as well as future developments!

This post is a couple of weeks old, but The Hive looks to be moving along! Truck crane on site

https://www.instagram.com/p/CGIPNpZj...d=7wccr6k9frma

Also, I was down there a couple weeks ago and I noticed that the old Jagerhouse on Pelissier had some plywood around it, and the "For Sale/Lease" sign was gone. It looked like there was a lock of some sort on it? Like a makeshift door. I haven't heard anything about this, or if it's even a development, but thought I would share with you all! Pelissier definitely seems to be getting quite a bit of attention, I've seen a few more small businesses open up on that stretch

Also, a cool site from the City of Windsor that shows a map of all the planned, in progress, and completed public projects that the City is working on

Was just flipping through the Star and came across this article

https://windsorstar.com/news/local-n...wn-development

Sounds like the City is using a new downtown library to attract development downtown, specifically in the "cultural hub", which the article defines as north of Wyandotte, east of Janette, west of Windsor Ave, and south of Riverside Dr.

From the article, it sounds like there has already been some interest from developers for this. The deadline is Nov 27th to submit proposals, and council will choose as early as the first quarter of next year.

Earlier in this thread I saw it mentioned that Farhi was planning a development with the library that didn't go through, I wonder if this is some sort of revival of that? I suppose we'll learn more in the months ahead, but hopefully something comes of this!

There is a sign with a rendering now on site advertising new luxury apartments. Looks like a very nice development, and should fit in well with that stretch of Pelissier st. that is on the upswing.

Is the sign on the old Jagerhouse site? If so, I'm wondering if there will be a public announcement in the near future with some renderings

Yes, it says: Coming soon to this neighbourhood! Blanchard Boutique Apartments. Windsor’s first boutique apartments, rental details to be released in the spring of 2021

Renderings are already on the sign, and the building is currently being gutted, so good sign.

That's amazing! Did the renderings show a general height? Or does it look like they are planning on using the same building structure and not building vertically?

They’re using the same structure and not adding any height.

Ahhhh I see. I would have liked to have seen something similar to the Hive, but I wonder if they saw the issues that they had an decided to just renovate the existing structure.

Still good news in my book to see a vacant building get reactivated!

Yes, I’m anxious to see what else is planned for DT in the next little while. The CIP has really made the Core attractive to investors now, so I’m sure there’s more to come.

Agreed! I really think we're on the upswing now with all of these developments getting announced. Hopefully this positive momentum continues and can attract more investments. The CIP has definitely helped with this.

Might be a bold statement, but I think DT will look quite a bit different within the next few years

I didn't see any mention of this in any papers, but looks like there is a mixed-use development going up on a vacant parcel on Erie St!

https://www.instagram.com/p/CHIHZOEF...=1uyj37x4gnn24

Commercial ground floor, with apartments above plus a rooftop "amenity space" for a total of 4 stories, right in the heart of Erie St. Really great to see, and it sounds like they are planning on being done March 2021. I'm really glad to see this kind of densification!

Nice find! Great to see some infill in Little Italy, should be a nice addition to the street. That is where a restaurant burned down a couple of years ago, it’s a great location.
