Have started the exterior wall panel installation on the north, west and east sides. The Dundas St south facing side has some brick veneer sections which have not yet begun.

Sadly they still have not finished the exterior on this building. Also doesn't appear to have much in the way of interior finishing either. It's been a year now since the building was topped out and they still have not completed it so tenants can move in. Fund raising and financial issues have really impacted getting this affordable housing project across the finish line.
This is a desperately needed infill for the area to add continuity to the streetscape. The big challenge now is to stop the homeless setting up camp right in front of it.
OK looking infill although the mural is actually quite beautiful.
It will fill in a gap and hence create a more constant and pleasant urban form. Even one empty lot can act as a psychological barrier and make a street look barren and uninviting. We saw this with the new Shoppers on Richmond. That empty lot was a real demarcation between Richmond Row and downtown and now that separation is blurred.
Now if only the empty lot at Quebec and Dundas where the former 7-11 used to stand would be sold. That corner is ripe for a nice mid-level mixed use development. Hopefully somebody other then the landlord buys it.
