SSP Competition: SSP City Masterplan

Well we haven't had a competition in a while and the last one just disappeared off people's minds.

So our new comp is the SSP City V2.0 Masterplan. Each person can enter up to 2 masterplans. We'll vote on our favorite of each contestant. Then we'll eliminate the losing masterplan create a new thread for the remaining ones.

Rules:
-Each person may enter up to 2 masterplans.
-The city should not be larger than 1200x1200 meters (4000x4000 ft)
-The map should include roads, bridges, rail, etc...
-It should be colored to represent height restrictions and such (ex. Red=500-1000, Blue=50-100). Please use the same colors on both of your entries.
-It should also be labeled with landscape height. (If you want hills). Please use green lines to represent each height increase and green numbers to label them.
-Do not post your entry on this thread. Private Message your entries to me.
-Lines that represent streets are fine but please remember that streets can be wide or thin.

Recommendations:
-Please make realistic sized blocks. (90x90 meters or 300x300 ft max). They can be wide and thin, rectangular or square.
-If you plan to include a historic district then make the historic blocks smaller than the rest of the city. The streets should be a little thinner as well.
-Office blocks with large skyscrapers should be large.
-Mega blocks can also be put in for convention centers, parks, etc.

Deadline: All entries should be submitted by Wednesday September 8. If we need more time it could be extended to the 10th.

I hope we get this sub forum going again! Can't wait to see what comes up. Hopefully my rules and explanations are clear

Sounds like a good plan

At this stage we can also begin developing buildings for the city although because the land will have elevated terrain it'd be an idea to leave the lower levels unfinished untill the landcape is ready.

actually, somehow i thought we were a whole month off.

I don't have time for this this week.

I am putting in whole forums per state and then prolly major cities where i am an admin at RBEF, and my explosion of new forums there demands that i give that the lions share of my attention.

October on the other hand will be a whole different matter.

I have just been too busy lately to participate. If it was another month longer I'd submit two entries. As it is I'm walking out the door for the weekend...
So...

As soon as i get some work out of the way my primary responsibilities to RBEF
will drift back towards design and etc to drive that aspect of the organization,
and that will resynchronize to where i am doing work appropriate to share here.

When that happens i will have a lot to share.

I just lengthened the forum list over there x 10 and it still has work to do and i need to put content in some of these new forums.

But soon I will be designing an RBEF city- which means egalitarian next generation low impact self sufficient living- permaculture, aquaculture, vertical
farms, and etc.
