Great location, but you can at least take comfort in the fact that the new residents will be faced with a couple of years of closed pathways and cranes as they do the rapid replacement of the Queensway bridge over the canal.

I did not know that. That will help me get over it a bit

Looks good. Glad they didn't dumb-it down when they converted these to rentals.

Looking like it will definitely be one of the highlights of Ottawa multi-residential development of recent years.

Those full glass corners look really good. Or maybe it's just the beer googles I'm wearing at the moment.

Down with bright mullions!

Not at all. I'm curious who will be renting all these $4k+ a month rentals that are under construction and nearing completion.

I suppose that at some point in the future these could still be converted to condos? When Uniform decided to market these as rentals instead, based on market conditions at the time, did they make any alterations to the plans that would prevent this?

Now this is a perfect fit to the locale.

Now we just need to fix up the canal itself. Entire thing looks like shit. Useless overcrowded pathways and crumbling puddled everything.

If they attempt to "repair" any of the heritage puddles or heritage rusty lampstands I will be on the phone to UNESCO faster than you can say "Glebe Community Association".

I will say though.. I do love those weirdo stucco precast lampstands and posts with the black wrought iron and milky white globes.

I know I'm "home" when I see those.

I thought it was ridiculous when I walked across the Roberta Bondar bridge or whatever the heck its called and they actually had the balls to scale back the width of the path on Mario Lemieux Island compared to the bridge spans. The audacity to just fill in the remainder to the never ever to be used again rails with gravel. Reddit cyclists bitching about people to stopping and taking a photo on the bridge. The city side vista from the island is great but horribly inhospitable. We suck at making nice places that aren't already nice places on their own or at the very least a several generation old creation.

The skyline view there is something else and it could have used a lot more love than the wish.com shit we knew we were going to get anyways.

This city is Jekyll and Hyde I swear.

I really like this one. Its turning out really well, High Quality! The color palette and material used almost resemble a modern Arizona Desert house IMO.

Agreed. This is very well done and fits the canal area very well.
