Supercrawl

I figured since it's always a big event and there isn't an official thread that exists, I might as well make one.

The first list of performers was just released...seems like a bit of a downgrade from last year but maybe it's just my taste.

That's a pretty good show on the 10th.

The line-up looks not too bad. Fred Penner is exciting!

I feel like last year they did a big release of all their small-to-medium named bands, then announced the big headliners later. Could be mistaken, though!

I heard there's going to be ticketed concerts, meaning you have to pay. So I wonder what venue it'll be. Tivoli theatre??

WOW Monster Truck will have a huge crowd I can't wait! They drew 30,000 out to Sound of Music in Burlington so I can't even imagine the amount they'll get playing free in their hometown!

All 3 of the headliners will be killer sets. Sharon Jones is phenomenal.

It's been expanded all the way to Main Street this year to take advantage of Gore Park.

Map: http://supercrawl.ca/public/Supercrawl%202015%20Map.pdf

Weather is looking like it'll be terrible all weekend and the music lineup is definitely weaker (at least name recognition wise) compared to last years so I wonder what attendance will be like.

The weather forecast doesn't look too bad, but time will tell I guess

When I looked last night it was a 70% chance of rain all day Saturday and Sunday. Thankfully, it's looking better now!

Interestingly, GO isn't providing any extra service this year. Kinda wonder what that and any possible bad weather might do to attendance numbers.

165,000 was last year's estimate. I'd expect more this year.

Got a memo to my office tower from yale properties. It outlined the street closures and said last year was over 100,000 this year 165,000.

Looks like they were wrong or forgot to update it lol
