RIP Bernie Morelli

Longtime Hamilton councillor Bernie Morelli passed away at his home late Tuesday night.

"Each of us not only grieves at the passing of a tremendous individual who has given so much to so many but also for the loss his family suffers," said Coun. Sam Merulla.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with Bernie’s family at this most difficult time."

Thanks Bernie for your service to the city, and condolences to his family and friends for their loss.

Re: Joey Coleman - I thought that was a touching tribute. How can anyone share a personal story regarding the way someone has affected them without also making it about themselves?

Also, it was originally posted on Joey's website. Seems fair to post a personal story on one's own personal website.

who titles a personal story about how the guy inspired a generation of Hamilton leaders and then only mentions himself?

Whaaat? What a better time to be personal about Bernie. Who cares, if others are not conforming to how you think their comments should be made. I'm sick of the complainers.

RIP Bernie. You were a good man.
