Good be to be back and catch up on what's happening here!
There's a lot going on here Drummer, you should stick around more often. I always enjoyed your input and posts

I appreciate it. Yeah, we've had a busy couple of years involving a lot of travel and ultimately moved back to Texas as well. At least now I'm in the area again.

Fun to see all the continued growth, for sure.

Viva Molar

molar = cool (spanish)

I like it. We all hate podiums, as we should, but this will turn out pretty cool, and I bet it gets included in lots of Austin media coverage.

I appreciate how Colorado St has turned into a canyon of office towers from 3rd to 9th

70% of the people who commented on Towers' story about the Molar like it, 10% were neutral and the rest didn't like it. Comments are included in the story.

Great pics - thanks. That north side of the building isn't turning out all orange, like it was in the renderings. I think that will make a huge difference in the final appearance and popularity of this thing.

This might now be my favorite building going up. Especially if they cover that north face with glass.

As far as I know, the north face hasn't had any design changes. This appears to just be a temporary covering.

It's interesting how misleading the renderings have turned out to be. The glass, for instance, is very much NOT molar-colored. That's really knocked me back on my heels a bit. What ELSE don't i know about this building?

This one topped out during the last week of August according to Brandywine. But they are still building the mechanical screen.

This looks awful...

Is Austin at all worried about it's future building nothing but these giant parking fortress podiums everywhere? These are permanent structures, it's not likely they will ever be demolished and replaced with something better. It's really ruining the urban potential of the city, forever.

Yeah, but it's "our" awful.

Coolest looking parking podium I've seen in a minute.

Come at me bro.....
