Probably not. I've edited the header though...trying to keep this forum a little more standardized

I just hope it's not a disappointing finally project like Derby. Their renderings we're awesome but look what we received.

What TF is everyone so down on Derby?

It doesn't even look bad???? Like wtf why wasn't there this level of hatred for Link phase 1 and 2? Or X Society? those are all monstrosities compared to Derby

I honestly don't get the hate?!?

Don't burst a blood vessel man! It's just opinions!

For what it's worth, I agree with most of what you said except Link 1. Link 1 is one of the best looking residential towers we have

When a few of us last fall expressed an interest in better quality of construction and design (including X Society), we were called delusional for not accepting that we'll get anything other than second hand rejects, remember? I even apologized to you for being so grumpy.

So there's that.

Honestly with regards to Derby I think people are just upset that the rendering was misleading, so I'm not sure it met our collective expectations, although there are a number of odd things about it. I think it serves as a reminder that you can't entirely trust renderings that come out - at the end of the day the images that are released to the public are usually created for marketing and nothing more.

Also for the record link II is far worse than both X phoenix and derby IMO lol!

Can you do that to Derby's thread even though it's so far along?

Stewart, Derby and McKinley Green

Since it's been a slow few days (and I got a little bored), I thought I would post some findings regarding the Stewart's height.

I have been noticing that Stewart is much shorter than Derby which I know to be 239'4". So I decided to submit a record's request and received it today. The records request verified that Stewart's height is actually only 223' compared to 242' that was previously published.

I bring this up as First McKinley (which will be practically across the street from Stewart) will top out at nearly 255' when built. So it will be taller than Stewart by quite a bit. Just thought I would share this tidbit for everyone's amusement.

Drove by yesterday and the palm trees have been cordoned off with ropes. There was also a crew doing some digging on the McKinley street alley entrance area. Not sure if this is prepwork or something else. I'll try to get more information on if this is related to the project or not.
