Back to the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone

In last October, I spent five days in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone.
That was not my first visit in this area since I already did a two-days tour back in August 2018 (thread here : https://skyscraperpage.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=237225).
Obviously, considering the recent events, it's really weird to think that all these places I visited a few months ago would soon become a war zone.
Anyway, I hope the situation in Ukraine will eventually get better, but I am rather pessimistic.

During these few days in the Chernobyl area, I took a lot of pics and videos.
I will try to post them by themes.

So first theme : the abandoned schools.
That was the thing I prefered (maybe because I am myself a teacher), the schools were really among the eeriest places we visited during these five days.
I could explore not less than five different schools (big ones and small ones, in Pripyat but also in the different villages of the Zone).

Here is a video I edited about the schools we visited :

Thanks for the pictures! Such an interesting place. I wonder how long before those buildings start crumbling down?

Also, I bet that place is spooky at night.

I’m totally fascinated by this place and have read a few books. Thank you for sharing this very unique experience. Probably not likely to be open for tourists again for a very long time.

The state of these interiors is very confusing...trying to figure out how much is natural degradation and how much is purposeful destruction.
