Looks even better w the glassier redesign, as long as they don't VE the garage/lower-floor materials. Great for STL -- Can't wait to see this one go up!

huge design detraction, but still build it. The base is much less hospitable and there is less ornamentation on the facade. Now only the slimmer faces of the building display thar unmistakable art deco flair. The wider faces will still be nice to gaze at, but are less interesting than before. They also seem to have shortened the parapet which will expose rooftop equipment from certain angles, compromising the art deco profile.

^Once the foundation work is actually starting. Digging a hole and shoring is not usually considered construction. Ask me about a certain hole we have here.

That doesn’t make much sense. The official groundbreaking ceremony was held, heavy equipment is on site, crews are actively working, and the streets are closed. It’s no longer just “proposed”- it’s happening.

Site prep isn't construction, so it makes perfect sense. You've been around since 01... You'll have to wait until someone reports of caissons being drilled or piles driven.

I live literally 4 blocks away, I will walk down to the site every other day and will post if anything significant starts to happen. Currently, there are only drills and excavators on site. According to one of the constructuction guys on site, they should begin drilling and foundation work this upcoming week. He said that this part will be fairly slow since old building foundations are still in place and that they will have to be dealt with. Once again, I'll post if anything happens.

Foundation drilling has now begun. The site is turning muddy closest to Kingshighway. I will stop by and take photos of the site this weekend.

Mods can we please move this one to U/C as well? Stopped by this morning foundation work is well underway, piers are being drilled and poured. Low quality photos with the rain this morning.

I'm not being a dick about it, but I have a hole in the ground here that says otherwise.

You can read all 148 pages and 3,152 days of it here

Things fail, site preparation and digging may have constituted construction at one point around here, but it hasn't for a while. I don't believe this project is going to fail, but it is still not under construction according to skyscraperpage.

I tweeted this out the other day on my website's twitter page. It gives roughly the same view of the site from Forest Park. Not much has changed since then because of how it has been raining constantly.

They are running boatloads of Concrete Trucks into the site but Clayco is placing foundation caissons randomly on the site. You can't really pick up the positioning of the main structure based on how they are putting them in. Thee are huge too. For the crane, I would expect it to be up around the end of the month or Early June considering that the foundation construction is random at best.
