Transfer Trusses

So is that a mechanical floor due to lower ceiling height or is the core slightly taller to account for the additional height of the steel?

Truss was picked from street with the TG1900 on left and landed on the 26th floor, it was then tripped and installed with the Potain.

The intricacy of this part of the construction is very interesting. The lower portion will look relatively far along when this thing starts to go vertical again. I didn't pay close attention to the schematics that I've seen, but I wonder if something similar will happen with CITC's upper (hotel) floors.

Thanks for the pics AJM. Can somebody explain to me exactly what these intricate transfer trusses are doing? I understand we are moving from steel to concrete based structure here but I can't figure out the purpose of these trusses. Why is a traditional structure insufficient here?

My guess is they need all this support to underpin the concrete columns that will be poured to support the upper 21 floors.
