Nice pics.

London is the greekest city in Canada also. They have greekfood stands all over the downtown area, instead of hot god stands.

There are some things to see there, such as Richmond Row, Old South London, and Downtown has some stuff.

OK flar, where's the obligatory pic of Tower Bridge?

Good lookin' city with more talls than I would have expected. I hope the Bud Gowan bldg (6th pic) gets a rehabe. I think it would be a charmer then. Thanks for the great tour (as always).

great pics, and the old ones, too. the mix of old and new buildings in the downtown reminds me of downtown New Orleans, and this shot reminds me of the old school in downtown Nashville:

You lucky bastards. I can't tell you how many times I've walked into a Tim's only to realize I didn't have any cash on me.

I've always liked London, I think the downtown still has so much more potential.

London is a beautiful city that is rarely seen here, so I've reprocessed these photos.

It's a year away, but I might be heading to London next January. I've never been there, so I'm hoping the trip happens. I have a feeling I'll either be in Kitchener in November or London in January. (and since I've already been to Kitchener, I'm hoping the London trip is the one that works best with my schedule next winter)

@OhioGuy: Hopefully you get a chance to go to London, it's a great little city and most of the people who visited me when I lived there had a good time.

@KOTH: no plans for travel yet unfortunately, I'm too busy, too broke, my car's on its last legs and I have family responsibilities. But who knows?

Beautiful photos!

I also like those old-school Covent Garden Market ones. It's hard to believe that was still there 12 years ago, that area isn't even recognizable.

I've started uploading some of my London-area photos on another thread. I've also got some from some nearby communities, as well as Stratford, which I've yet to upload.

There are quite a few towns in the London area that have never been seen here before, especially north.

I used to call London, Ontario the "fake" London when I lived there, otherwise people thought I was talking about the real London. Though it sounded cool to say I was living in an apartment overlooking the Thames in London.

Interesting coincidence. I was just looking for pics of London, Ontario through the search function. I accidentally hit the link that sent me back to the main page and voila !...London, Ontario. Weird.

Anyway, great pics and a wonderful looking city. What's really surprising is how often I thought that I was looking at pictures of Winnipeg though. I had to do a double-take a few times before concluding that it wasn't a picture of Winnipeg that somehow got mixed in by accident.

See you've been to Kitchener. London is more of a city in the classical sense, even though the metros are of similar size.

Me too. I'm not going to be getting around much for a little while. Nice coverage of an underexposed city.
