McWho?

It's a good thing Mathews didn't play both games.

Maybe the Leafs should sit Matthews when he comes back.

Clearly they are a much more cohesive team without him

I just pray that these two embarrassing loses are early enough to galvanize the team and really do a reality check over there.

Guess I'm going to have double down on my previous bet and say McDavid is now extra double angry and will score 4 on Wednesday. That or we could see history made with three consecutive shutouts against the same team with three different goalies.

Yeah, there's no way McD will be completely shutdown for the 3rd game in a row from the same team. I'm betting a 2G, 2A night with the Oilers winning.

Andersen is in tonight, so the Leafs are indeed playing for a shutout sweep with their entire goalie roster.

Hey, if you ignore that McD was held pointless (again) and the Oilers got crushed - my prediction was right on the money.

The Leafs actually being good is so painful. Even at those (few) points in my lifetime that they have had a good team, they were never scary or intimidating in any way. This time it seems to be different.

We'll see how Winnipeg does against them. I believe there are still 9 games between the two teams left as they've only played once so far.

Will just make the eventual playoff collapse all the more exciting.

Winnipeg's next nine games will likely determine where they end up:
Montreal x2
Toronto x3
Montreal x2
Edmonton x2

But yes, they play the Leafs nine moree times and the Habs seven more times.

This is undoubtedly the most complete Leafs team I've seen in my lifetime. Every complaint we had with Babcock has disintegrated under Keefe. There are no (or comparably very few) full period snoozes where the team takes 20 minutes off. Also goes to show how narrative-driven any discussion about the Leafs is when you look back at Babcock's firing and see all the "Lol Toronto! ruining a legendary coach" comments.

Nothing matters until they win a few playoff series though. Hopefully the last 3 years have been enough motivation and we don't need a Tampa-style embarrassment before making a run.
