Another random 180' student housing project in West Campus, if I had to bet

The Linden is probably the next notable tower

Riverside Office Tower - Architect: Solomon Cordwell Buenz

Even though the building is dubbed Riverside Office Tower, I'm having a hard time with the exact location.

The view of downtown below would suggest it's right off S. Congress but the immediate area in the rendering does not reflect any crosswalk on S. Congress.

Not much makes sense about the renderings and any real location. The buildings next to this don't exist and the buildings between this project and Frost change in the renderings. Therefore, if this is a real project, the other buildings in the rendering are just background noise.

EDIT: The social media posts for the rendering firm all indicate that this is from three months ago (~July 1st). Summer Intern at SCB?

This doesn't even make sense for the Statesman site though. It's like the river doesn't exist in these renderings.

Unless this is for something South of the river and they want it to look more walkable to DT proper?

In some of the renderings, but in others you can see buildings on CC and 5th behind it.

What do you all think of the buildings, themselves? I like 'em, for south of the river and away from Ladybird lake...

The tower on the right seems to be a bit curvey from bottom to top. For a midrise, I think they look classy and well designed. I like.

The fact that the building is exceptionally nice for an office mid-rise just adds to my belief that this is just a vision or design contest entry.

Definitely in the "cool pics, bro" category.
I guess the Riverside name will catch on, especially if the bond passes in November.

Could be!

The buildings in the second rendering look like the ones on Barton Springs -across from the Palmer Events Center.

I think the buildings look nice enough. Sort of "elevated Domain" chic.

South of the river I would be fine with. DT, less so.

That would be a very expensive facade, with the second glass skin. I don't think we have a mid-rise of this high-quality.

Not sure what to make of this. But here's a new CVC determination filing for 801 Red River which is the site of Stubb's BBQ.
