Looks like they'll be taking seats out for the North Scoreboard.

That doesn't bother me. It'll be an improvement. I'm not one of those Texas fans that thinks we have to have the biggest stadium in Texas to out-do aggy.

That looks like a pretty big screen in its own right. How does that compare to the south scoreboard?

Well that stinks. Why? Loosing 1,080 seats to put this in...

Gotta give those high priced ticket holders in the south end zone something to watch. Here's a schematic.

That's because there are other things to do in Austin.

Most of that area is Loge seating - with small TVs already in front of them. Plus, they have the clubs...

With regard to filling the stadium - during Mack Brown's tenure, UT averaged 104% of its seating capacity, per game, in total attendance. It's the last seven years (under Strong and Herman) that it's been tough going. But, still, Texas has averaged more than 94% of its capacity, per game, in total attendance during that time.

The higher end seats and boxes will have TV's. The field seats, which make up the majority of the seats, will not. Here's a link. If I'm paying that much for a seat I damn well wanna watch replays!

Don't quote me on dimensions but here are ballpark figures:

South end zone is 55.85’ high by 134.38’ wide

North end zone will be 24' high by 93.5' wide and is scheduled to be fully operational for the first game 9/4.

Austin FC's new board is 24' high by 84' wide

For comparison here's a link.

As seen from the South, taken yesterday:

I'm not sure that big blank wall looks very good. Not sure what they're going to do with that, if anything.
