Kinda hard to tell from the webcam, but yes. It looks like the base for the tower crane is there this morning.

I think sites downtown get to build fulltime because it's a commercial district.

The Stewart abuts a residential neighborhood.

Does this restrict construction hours strictly to daytime for the Stewart as well? I thought they were doing nighttime work during the summer because of the record heat.

I would think they would have to due to the size of the block.

We are about to have up to 6 tower cranes South of Hance Park in 1 month! Stewart, Link, Block 23, Willa and Portrait...7 if you include the Banner crane if It's still up.

Could even be more in the coming months, AZ center hotel is supposed to break ground early next year, Central Park East Residential and 1st building for the ASU biomed is supposed to begin soon (and thunderbird) . Not to mention the Derby lawsuit conclusion and im guessing NAC will have a crane as well.

And of course, Barrister, Colliers and Palmcourt Arizona center.

Its going to look like Austin.

From looking at the webcam, it appears there are bases for 2 cranes.

If we had a rundown thread with organization I wouldn't have to ask this but where's the webcam link?

Sitting here at Potbelly's watching them assemble the crane. Already about 150' and they just trucked in another section. So, it looks like It's at least going as high as the mobile crane. Awesome!

*Edit: Decided to ask crew. Crane will be 300'!

*Edit. Just browsed through the new FAA Evaluations and there are 4 separate tower crane evaluations all at 400ft. Safe to say, we won't see 4 cranes at 400 ft., so going to assume there will actually be only 1 tower crane until otherwise...

I'm assuming that the renderings are showing the final design and the residential won't be any taller, but now that the crane is actually going up, was the question about why the FAA Obstruction was submitted for 400'? I don't remember seeing anything about that height being incorrect or why such a tall crane would be needed for a building that's only 19 stories. Fawd? Anyone?

Sorry if this was answered and I just missed it.

I think it may have been a "just in case" we land a major tenant scenario for the office portion.

This begs another question. I wonder if they are building the current office portion to support more floors down the road if they have the need?
