Tallest French Tower Outside of Paris Now Complete

Quote:
Dominated for more than 30 years by the 165-metre Part-Dieu Tower — nicknamed 'The Pencil' due to its cylindrical shape and pyramidal crown — the skyline now has a new pinnacle. Delivered last December, the Tour Incity has become Lyon's tallest tower at 202 metres in height, thanks to a 50-metre spire installed by helicopter in June 2015.

Overview of some blocks developed over their 7th arrondissement.

Credits to villeman and gege on SSC.

I like it. Serious density, so hopefully, some good urban feel comes along.

People are crying over the death of chef Paul Bocuse here, Lyon being the so-called capital of cuisine.
Much rivaled by the Toulouse region (Occitanie) and a bunch of 'terroir' towns in France, though.
Bocuse was like 91 years old, and people have to die at some point. Lyon should move on this whole gastronomy shit...
You just end up bloated, eventually.

Anyway, here's some latest office building around la Part Dieu over there, by villeman.

Bof. They could afford much taller buildings. The pharmaceutical/healthcare, software and gaming industries are pretty strong over there.
And this is traditionally a town full of innovations. For example, they invented motion pictures and cinema.
They're making billions of euros. So I'd like to see more skyscrapers.
