Now i think it is time to build a megatall cause the skyline in midtown shows that is a signal and also scream to 2100ft tower the right place is Madison square garden or time square .

There are three to my immediate knowledge that will do so: The 270 Park renewal project, Tower Fifth, and Vornado's 350 Park (read YIMBY article dated May 4, 20019 here).

We also have live action at 50 H, 3 Hudson Boulevard, and Spiral, plus whatever shakes out at 80 South, and 2WTC.

Glorious times, indeed. Mr Dickens should've left Tale of Two Cities at the first sentence and recast it in the present and immediate future tenses.

In time due I think it'll come. In the CTBUH list, note that most of these super talls are past 2012. The rate this is going, and the rate of the "average" increase in height skyscraper wise throughout the boroughs, its only a matter of time before the big one comes.

I really hope something in the mode of Park Central Tower springs up. That proposal is so elegant IMO. Its location would be a little crowded though as it would start to overshadow the Billionaires' row towers rather than complement them

I like this one. I liked the original design more because it was so different, but I do still like it. I really like the facade and the color. It's at least a little less spindly than 111 W. 57th is, and the facade is lightyears better than 432 Park.

What the heck is going on here?

The facade is expected to be nice, and at least from some of the renders it looks like it will be.

Imagine a silver monolith whose skin reveals greater refinement and ethereality the closer you get to it.

Now imagine this same structure revealing a delicately illuminated parapet as the twilight dies.

I think this photo, with these towers sums up the current boom as far as how things are changing....

Fifth picture from the top - interesting anchor point with the six bolts, on the corner of the building where the spire was rendered originally. The guy is also pulling wire through a conduit (picture directly above).

Relax, that's probably just where a beam will be placed. The spire would've had a way bigger footprint

Looks like the parapet still has to go up based on those photos.
