What are the chances though that it might get a height reduction?

This one will be 516m tall. I think, nothing will change. Thats enough for becoming the world´s tallest residential tower.

Nah, it is. Even if Chicago Spire resumes construction today, the Pentominium will be topped out first.

Could someone explain, why the tower once had a spire height of 618m. The CTBUH wrote to me, that the spire only will put in place when Chicago Spire´s construction resume. If not, the building will be 516m tall. However, the official website gives 516m, and the architect, too.

because if the spire resumes and gets completed its taller by roof height therefore tallest residential building, but if they put an UNNECESSARY huge spire on the pentominium, it would pass the Chicago spires roof making it taller and it would become tallest residential building

they're not putting the spire and the CS isn't starting any time soon.

And yeah, it will be the worlds tallest residential building.

That idea with the spire is in my opinion not very clever. If the Spire´s developer takes notice of that, he whould add a spire on the 610m tower, too (if construction continues). Then this one has no chance. And the Spire whould have the highest residence above ground. However, this one will be the tallest residential tower, and I agree with that very much, so One World Trade Center will be allowed to climb up for the tallest building in the Americas and as well a taller one than the Pento.

The design of the Pentominium is in my opinion very interesting. It´s one of my favourite projects outside of the United States, so I can´t wait to see it rising.

You mean when the first bit of rebar will stick above ground? I think a few weeks. For everything to be above ground I think something like 2 months. Then things will accelerate.
