170 Carmarthen, between Duke and Mecklenburg, seems like someone is starting work. It's been vacant for a couple years. Between it, 190 and 133 Carmarthen, 57 Mecklenburg, and 194 Duke (my property) all under renos, Carmarthen should be much more appealing than it has been in a long time.

It would be easy to beautify, too. Just dig out the asphalt median and add grass and trees- it already has a proper sidewalk.

The Toronto couple that own it renovated 112 Orange St
They gutted it and put a lot of design and money into it. Turned out beautiful

I drove by tonight and noticed there is now a listing sign on the building.

Interesting mention of both a basement unit and of a rooftop deck.

I was in it last week. Foundation is sketchy. Needs a new roof before a rooftop deck. Good luck to the eventual buyer.

Well, that's three sales in two years. Chang & Riley purchased in March 2018, FKLE purchased in November 2018, and now it's supposedly sold for $400K under asking. I can't find any previous sales figures for the property but i'd be interested if $900K is more or less than previous.

I'll believe any sort of redevelopment plans once redevelopment is actually physically taking place.

Rumour has it, it's coming down and something taller may appear. But I'm equally skeptical.

This could very well be UNBSJ's "big project" around King Square that they were hinting about a couple of months ago. That's just me speculating though

I honestly hoped they would build something on the old Paramount site. Would be nice to see something tall on King Square North.

Wilbur is a name we can trust. It'll be leveled or under redevelopment by 2022. This is excellent news.
