When the revised shoring permit is granted, that will be a better sign. http://web1.seattle.gov/DPD/permitst...spx?id=6434170

In the meantime, the developer told a reporter that the current work is very preliminary, and doesn't mean the project is happening.

Meanwhile the developer has recently started four other towers (two each at 1200 Stewart and 707 Terry), and they're building a sales center on the 2000 3rd site for use until the site is needed, which is probably mid-2019 at earliest.

I like the previous design more tbh, but keeping the massive platform at the top is nice

It's a sales office for two other projects by the same developer, both digging, which will include condos in some portion of:
--Twin 44-story towers at 1200 Stewart
--Twin 30-story towers at 707 Terry
--I'm sure they'll be able to talk about this one too, but generally sales offices need to be at least relocatable (is this?) to somewhere offsite so they aren't torn down 30 months before the building opens.
