God save us from the Star Wars freaks, haha.

Nice pics. Glad you had beautiful blue skies to enjoy while you were here. It's too bad Buckingham Fountain wasn't operating. October seems too early to be shut off for the winter months.

Yeah, I'm not lucky with this fountain, I went twice in Chicago, first time on May 2002, there was water but the sky was grey and too early for digital camera so my pics were... disappointing.
Thanks for your comments.

Amazing photos. You managed to capture perspectives of Chicago I've never seen on this forum before, and that's quite an accomplishment. Wonderful stuff!

Beautiful photos. I love Chicago.

You could try photobucket, but I don't think it is much better.

Fantastic shots Sandy! They do take forever to download because they are high with the mega pixels you uploaded. Thus, causing some systems to time out and folks only getting half of the photos. Lower the resolution and they will load quicker, they will be smaller but they will all show on SSP. I use Photo Bucket and it is easy to follow their instructions. Welcome and look forward to more of your work!

Thanks Denveraztec and cbotnyse, I've followed your advice I'm now using Photo bucket and I've edited my posts (http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/showthread.php?t=143825) to change the resolution.
I hope this time they won't take too long to load.

Great pics. And you had a good view from your hotel-room window.

Firehouse visit?

Hi Sandy,

I may have met you on your journey to and through Chicago. I'm a fireman at a house in the loop and sometime in October we had a few people from France stop by. Do you recall being at a firehouse on South Wells street? I'm only writing this because your fire engine picture jogged my memory of a visit by some very nice individuals from France.
