Agreed

The excavation process is coming along nicely here. I am terrible at guessing how far down there are but it's definitely in the 10's of feet. Still strange that this being built where it is.

There was more info around the site but it wasn't really practical to get photos. From what I remember the plan is for multiple restaurants including one on the top floor, as well as convention space with a capacity of ~600. It's described as a "boutique" hotel, I forget if the number of rooms was mentioned but it looks to be around 27 floors including the lobby etc.
It would be wonderful if we had more buildings like this one downtown Halifax or downtown Dartmouth - we support this building in Bayers Lake and let's hope they bring more like it the downtown areas

With the elevation where this is located, it will be substantially higher than anything else....

Any idea of how tall the crane was? I assume it will be a self rising crane and not full height at once.

will this tower have an impact on Halifax's skyline or is it too far from the CBD?

It will definitely be seen for miles, but it will be off by itself and will not contribute to the massing of the skyline in general.

A rough guess from a distance is it is at half height. It is the same crane recently used for Grandhaven building 2, and I would say setup at that height.

At the elevation alone, even a shorter building would stand out, but a 28 storey building at that elevation, the views will be incredible.

Not sure if this one's been posted here yet. Looks like this crane isn't at full height?

Maybe actually from Russel Lake in Dartmouth? If so, someone123 got an impressively clear day for that photo.
