[Halifax] Parish Square (3840 Joseph Howe) | 19 m | 7 fl | U/C

W.M. Fares is seeking some MPS/LUB amendments in the Dutch Village Plan Area to allow for a redevelopment of Our Lady of Lebanon Catholic Church property at the Fairview Overpass.

The plan is to place a seven storey residential building fronting onto Joesph Howe wrapping around the interchange ramp, two levels of underground parking, and individual entries along Joe Howe.

That's a nice looking building for a not nice looking area. I wouldn't want to live right on that exchange.

I noticed a little Caterpillar excavator in that corner a week or so ago, perhaps they've started some digging.

Buildings have been down for a couple of months, but site work is underway with excavation and shoring progressing now.

Looking at the initial report, it doesn't seem like the design affords any space for an extension of the Chain Of Lakes Trail, which naturally, should probably connect to the Bedford Highway (as part of its functional plan)

It's a weird spot, and they might connect COLT to the future multi-use trail across the street, but I wonder if this is something worth bringing up to the councillor.

Crane base is in. This is the third one I've noticed installed this week around the peninsula. Are there any cranes available for these projects?

This looks like one of Omega's yellow Liebherr bases. I think they have one left that isn't currently up, or Bilby will have to go here when ready.

Nrth is BN Crane services, new to Halifax for using their equipment. It has been in storage in Burnside for a while.

Maitland looks like the older maroon colored Liebherr run by Arnoldin - it last did the low rise the next block downhill.

The crane is going up today. Based on the markings it appears to be a new to Halifax Liebherr, consistent with the other cranes Omega runs.

Such a bizarre location, right by a bunch of what are essentially highway ramps, but hey, I'm here for more development!
