Pint & Slice was hoppin' and Dash-In was packed. When's the last time you saw that on a Saturday?
Overheard; "I haven't been downtown in years!"

Nice photos (and nice collection of buildings) of a group of people who I guess are upset that the pay the same taxes or less than they have been paying, but are outraged now and not before.

On a side note, some of these people don't seem to be taxed by exercise.

Great photos. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the event. One certainly wonders where these people were when Bush was raising the national debt to the tune of $5 trillion. Apparently spending our tax money abroad is more acceptable to these "patriots" than spending our tax money on domestic programs and economic recovery.

Great photos robert! Although, I would have had a lot of trouble as I would have been insulting them instead of taking photos. What dumb fucks to whine and complain when they are probably paying less taxes than under Bush. The stupidity of these people is just astounding (like your photos, but thats in a good way).

It was Saturday, so even the ones who haven't lost their jobs probably would have had the day off.

Although the crowd was almost entirely caucasian with maybe a trace of Latino/Latina, the main speaker was black (Alan Keyes). I didn't notice any overt manifestation of racism.

The crowd was fervent but well-behaved, and I took advantage of the opportunity to document a lot of people gathered downtown for whatever reason. Business was certainly better than average for the few downtown non-chain eating establishments that are open on Saturdays.

i wish they would have something like that in NY. We Are literally getting taxed for everything under patterson. I do believe its the highest in the nation. I find it funny how everyone blames bush for everything. Take responsibility for your own over-spending's. Bush never made people buy a house they couldn't afford. Drive expensive cars out of their budget, nope. Take a break on the bush bashing, he isn't in office now, Obama is. And I sure haven't seen much change.

we can't all be democrats. However I don't really think an increase in taxes has anything to do with political parties. Oh wait. Democrats always raise taxes.
