Great thread! Cincinnati looks a lot like a giant version of the towns on the Mohawk River in upstate New York where I grew up. It is like Utica on steroids (not the Utica that exists now, but the one I remember from the '70s and '80s).

I'm so glad I finally decided to click on this, even knowing that it would damn-near crash my browers (and it nearly did).

I can say without any kind of hesitation or hyperbole that this is one of the best photo tours/threads of any city I've seen on here. And, I just think I found my new favorite tile mural:

This thing is just sick. It reminds me of the more modernized Pewabic tile out of Detroit.

The one thing I always love, Love, LOVE about Cincy are the color of all the buildings...especially the deep red bricks.

I know how hard it is to do photo threads of your hometown. I've yet to do one of my hometown; Kelowna, BC - despite the fact that I've been back numerous times with a camera in hand.

I definitely understand...I occasionally try to put myself in the frame of mind of a tourist, in order to help me filter out the hidden beauty within the scenes that my eyes typically glaze over. For me, it’s often a challenge.
