It will be nice to see some of those skyline angles in a few years once the new additions are built.
The connolly would be the second tallest in Hamilton right now if built The Cannaught has at least 2 substantial towers. Not to mention Vranchich's condos going up at Main and Bay as well as the Tivoli and various other proposals on James st.

Thats at least 5 substantially tall towers going up. Hopefully they all make it to the construction phase like Vranich's towers.

I love that Victoria set. Such a nice city. I used to visit quite often back in the mid 90s.

Victoria looks really nice! To me it kind of looks like a mix of St John's, NL and Halifax of the west.

It seems much denser than us to me. I'm jealous.

I can see that, just with the more glassy west coast aesthetic. The historic buildings are pretty unique from eastern cities too, such as the Legislature and many smaller structures...

I spent one month in Victoria last November and I loved the city. It truly is beautiful and charming. To me, it did not feel like a very large city but it was still busy enough. Downtown area is nice and busy and I felt like the quiet and peaceful suburbs were always close enough...

Also made it to Tofino, Vancouver, Seattle, Portland and Mt. St Helens. I really had a good time visiting. Will be back for sure.

I still don't know which city I prefer between Halifax and Victoria. Both are very similar but so different at the same time. I think Halifax is a bit busier and feels a little bigger, but Victoria definitely has the west coast vibe that I am not used to in eastern Canada.

We have such a beautiful country !

Victoria has the perfect downtown density for a city of its size.

I can't speak to St. John's, but I've been to Halifax. I'd say yes, Halifax and Victoria are similar in some ways...both have very British origins, have large naval yards and great pub scenes. But my impression was that Halifax is more commercial/industrial and feels like a bigger city, while Victoria is a more quaint and laid-back seaside town

Not shown in those photos of downtown Victoria above is what is developing to the west of downtown - in the Songhees / Vic West area across the Inner & Upper Harbour. There are supposed to be at least 5-7 more 'towers' going up here within two large on-going developments (when? when the market wants them) - needless to say it has a completely different feel and vibe compared to the other side

I took this (crappy) photo of Songhees this morning:

Victoria is a lovely city and is, in every way imaginable, the polar opposite of Vancouver.
The two cities couldn't be more dissimilar if they tried.

If Victoria was a wasteland of parking lots and wal-marts than they would be much more dissimilar than they are now. That's one way
