Yep. It's like a Sim City...city that you build and just save and never touch again. If you add one more tower you might just screw up the balance and ruin the whole thing.

*I know Sim City is usually brought up to talk about Dubai or places in China, but I hope everyone gets my point.

Fresno makes me cry, because when I was a kid it pushed me down and stole my beer money.

plus, for a city of its size (530,000 city/1 million metro), Fresno's skyline could use a boost.

St. Louis' skyline. Seeing that stupid arch has made me cringe ever since I've been aware of what it replaced.

Cleveland was a disappointment for me.

Boston is a surprise answer. I think Boston has one of the most picturesque skylines out there. Multiple water angles from either the Harbor or the Charles River.

I can't make up my mind if I like the The Financial District, Boston Harbor vantage point or Back Bay / High Spine, Charles River view better.

Very few towers of architectural significance (not just that, the towers they have are downright ugly) and very few towers for a city/metro of its size, stature and importance, period.

Have you been to Baltimore within the last year? I have, and was surprised at its most recent construction. With those additions, skyline-wise it's not bad at all for a city its size.

I prefer Boston as a city to Baltimore as a city.

Assuming you are referring to skylines, however, I was not disappointed by the Baltimore skyline (which I last viewed in-person in 2018); I was disappointed by the Boston skyline (which I last viewed in-person in 2019) for all of the reasons previously stated about both skylines.

I think that I still prefer the Pittsburgh skyline aesthetics overall to Philly's, mainly because of the setting and the angles. Philly's has to be taken from certain viewpoints or so much of it gets obscured by itself.

Philly's height, depth, and extent is obviously MUCH more impressive than Pittsburgh's, but unless you're viewing the skyline from south Philly or the Mann center, I'm just not a that big of a fan of the way it looks.

For the few us left in our society who AREN'T involved in the tech world, the sharks really did put San Jose "on the map".
