It occurred to me that there are three buildings of 1,400 ft or more under construction in the country, and two of them are within a block of each other.
So currently, three of the future five tallest in the country are under construction now. Steinway is in a select group.

I've always appreciated how the 57th-facing profile gives the illusion of a concave surface at practically any camera/render angle.

We're almost halfway there, folks...about 60 feet to that point.

Frame of reference: 9 West 57th/Solow tower @ center photo is 689'.

I'm wondering at what point this will eclipse CPT? Its catching up day by day. Good times when we can have skyscraper races.

I'm gonna go ahead and just make a guesstimate based on how their rising that by the time this is topped out (@1,431 ft), CPT will be at ≈ 1,350 ft.

I know, what I'm saying is that since these two are in a race, I'm just guesstimating the height of CPT when this tower is topped out. Obviously CPT will win the height game, but who will win the race to top out is the question.

^ Like the shot of 53w53 photobombing.

JANUARY 6, 2018

I have to say, every time I see this building now, it slaps me in the face with its beauty. And while the east/west facade understandably gets all of the attention,
I'm really liking the south facade (the north will have it's own distinctive facade). This building is truly one of the greats.

This one is really shooting up quick, as I assumed it would. I get a nice view of it walking up 6th to work each morning.
