I'd guess it was at 22nd or 23rd and Sabine, but I'd need a map to figure it out. All those streets are completely gone now. There used to be a lovely old Greek Revival Mansion on the top of a hill where the LBJ Library is now. They even flattened the hill.

Yep, it was a handsome old mansion.
I lived in an apartment a block or so south of where the new basketball arena is being built

My last apartment in Austin was at 2053 Sabine; neither the street nor the address is still there.

I don't think the building had a name. It was relatively modern, late 50s I'd guess. My apt. was on the top (3rd or 4th) floor with a balcony and a nice view of the Capitol.

Of all the places I lived when I was an undergraduate, only two still stand and neither of them is a residence building.

In the words of Bruce Buffer...."Let's get ready to FUMBLE...er rumble" Sorry for ya'lls loss.
But I have to say, the south end zone looked awesome from the field level shots and the Longhorn cutout is pretty cool at least from that angle. Curious to see if it clearly visible with people in the stands.

I mean, the product on the field looks worse, but that stupid longhorn cut-out on the new South endzone looks ever dumber in real life than it did in the renders.

I hate everything about it. It's legit something I expect to see at Tech or Okie St, not at a top-tier program. Which, judging by the last decade, I guess we aren't?

Can we not bash the team all over the internet? They'll be fine.

The stadium looks amazing and I can't wait to see it finished.

The Longhorn cutout looks awesome, and the finished end zone project will be a huge upgrade second to none.

It definitely looks better now that the longhorn shape is more defined.

I just hope it looks better than the renderings. The stands and suites look great. That Longhorn was my greatest concern. I still wish they would have connected them to the other stands, but having the view of the city will be nice.

Yeah I know - I was reminded of that back when we first saw the renderings. I can still wish for a true bowl, even if it isn't possible.
