I've heard that by 2014 Oslo is planning to build a 200m tower which will be the tallest skyscraper in Scandinavia. Is there any info or visuals on this?

^ Hopefully, but i doubt since you can almost call Isfjellet a vision. And the opposition against Barcode and its high-rises looks like will finally end with loads of walled low-rise buildings, and it seems like few people really cares about how it will looks like in Bjørvika, as long as nobody in Oslo can see its buildings from their houses. A new plan for Isfjellets plot and the rest of Barcode is been made these days actually. Only three high-rise building will get built, one is already completed (Price Waterhouse Cooper's headquarter).

People is too afraid of new buildings (even ugly buildings getting a face-lift meets opposition), especially in centres such as Bjørvika. It halts the development of Oslo as well, but this is something even wors in Bergen and Trondheim.

@ Valen: There is a lot of high-rise news and info, renderings etc. from Norway on Skyscrapercity.

Will be very pessimistic untill i actually sees it built, big high-rise projects in Norway have been closer to getting built than Barcode is right now, and still not getting built! But barcode will most certainly get built, but not as in the renderings presented in this thread with some rather tall high-rise buildings.

And Isfjellet is a proposal, one of several proposals. It breaks with barcode and looks almost too good to be true, so they won't go for it.

Guess i have been in contact with older generations too much lately, god their just so pessimistic about everything!

Interesting, with the regulationplan approved i tought we had won? Two towers is under construction right now (Klp)

Another one will probably start this summer... (Visma).

I don't think the politicians will go against Isfjellet because it looks so good, and it fits the Opera very well, the heights are controversial - not the designs. I don't think it breaks the Barcode, it's a ~box in my oppinion

Isfjellet's design has been simplifed as i expected. Perhaps they are going to build it now! Still a really nice design,
though its not as advanced as the old version.

On Isfjellet's right side we have the Visma building, latest rendering here:

And on Isfjellet's left side we have the KLP Building which is seen below.

The first building, Price Waterhouse Cooper was completed last year.

DNB Building's design is also getting better and better, though they are not as final as the other building yet.

All these will be places in a line after a 700m long street. We are still waiting for the designs of a larger building complex between Visma and DNB, and the second largest plot to the DNB's eastern side.

Barcode is situated right next to Oslo Central Station. The Central Station is also to get a major facelift included some high-rises, 23 floors tall (69m) and 13 floors tall (48m).

And next to the Central Station, but on the opposite side of the Barcode complex they are planning to build a 127m tall office building, right next to the Completed Postgirobygget (111m) and Radisson SAS Plaza Hotel (117m).

What residential projects are going on downtown?
It seems like all projects are office or hotel.

Looks great

I remember this project from my first year of studying... good to see they are doing it... and that the design has picked up... but some of it looks rather dull...

but thanks for the updates!

very intresting i hawe very high hopes for the Crystal Clear developement.

and i also hope the goverment might allow people to build up to 200 meters soon.

considering norways huge oil wealth its very strange that we dont do some real landmark skyscrapers
