This, 225W 57th and 111W 57th will all be rising at the same time, not to mention 432 will be closing in on topping out. Wow!

Wow. Now this is how you make a tower! Looks alien, unreal, yet stunning. Had to stare at the rendering for a little to make sense of it all.

I'm speechless. The design and level of details in this tower in just unparalleled. I'm not sure how they improved on what was already the best looking tower I had seen in a while. Jean Nouvel is really showing those suckers how to build a tower in NYC.

^ Umm no, I think the Chrysler or the ESB holds that distinction.

It is very beautiful though. Might just be the most beautiful modern tower in the world when built.

Agreed! Tho I would argue that if we put nostalgia aside, TV is as Gotham as the ESB or the Chrysler.

I prefer the original by a longshot, but this is still damn good.

Probably in the top handful of modern towers on earth.

Apart from the ESB and Chrysler of course. TV is a modern-day jewel.

The ESB and Chrysler are classics, of course. But those buildings have more straight lines. I think if this one had been built along with those towers, sentimentality aside would make this the most "Gotham" of all New York's towers. But they're all drenched in it. I think 111 W. 57th is in that category as well.

the avenue of architectural mediocrity (6th avenue south of central park) is getting a big lift with this tower.
