Oh yes. Coyotes often follow riverbeds and washes, concrete-lined or not.
Where I live in South Pas, I see coyotes, skunks, racoons... and of course feral parrots, as well as feral peacocks and peahens.
It's funny because I've seen a few coyotes cross at unsignalized crosswalks, and wait for the green light at intersections at night. They've really gotten used to being around humans and possibly even follow human behavior.
