Went by last night and the fencing along 1st St. has been moved to enclose the sidewalks/curbs. Looks like full construction may be imminent.

Edit: Looking at the ASU Downtown campus cam, it looks like they are grading.

That whole block is going to look so different in 5 years. Is that lot about the same size as block 23?

Never mind it looks like Block 23 has it by a hair but still a pretty huge lot of land being developed.

Towercrane base already put up and lots of rebar onsite. This one is going to go up quick!

Grabbed a couple pics. Will upload when I get home this evening.

Hmm. I wonder if they found anything or secretly hauled it away in the night if they did. I have a hard time that block had just the shell of the bowling alley underneath.

Nice! I was wondering if they would use 2 cranes on this lot. Wasn't sure if the lot was big enough.

Wow, I was just reading that Preliminary Review and dang, this project has 747 units? That should mean well over 1000 residents. That’s a game changer! Most these towers still seem like they are only around 300 units but 747, those are the kind of projects we need to really see foot traffic on the ground! That’s awesome, between this and Central Station, I think the retail spots should definitely fill up along Central!

Thank you for bringing retail up. Is retail a part of this project? For how big this project is I sure hope the entire first level is retail.

Yeah, definitely looks like the first floor should have a lot of retail. Unfortunately it doesn’t look like The Rey or Fillmore projects retail has filled at all yet.

I bet they will when 1000+ new residents move in at this spot.

maybe 300 full time residents with the rest being Airbnb units. Isn't that the trend for most of these new buildings?
