Highest Elevation Homes in Selected Cities

So I was looking at different cities using Google Maps and the elevation finding tool below, and I tried to find the residential housing unit(be it a house, condo, apt, etc) that is the highest above the lowest elevation of that metro area. Sea level places are the easiest obviously, but this is what I have come up with so far...if youre interested and look these up yourself and find any mistakes, please let me know.

Feet above Lowest Elevation...Address, City, State
1,000 ft+
2,976 ft.... 43201 North Old Mine Road, Cave Creek, AZ
2,529 ft.... 19090 Bolhman Road, Saratoga, CA
2,118 ft.... 2034 Tall Woods Court, Draper, UT
1,637 ft.... 21341 Stonetower Lane, Trabuco Canyon, CA
1,594 ft.... 16678 Via La Costa, Los Angeles, CA
1,501 ft.... 4552 South Zarahemla Drive, Salt Lake City, UT
1,497 ft.... 2167 Rimcrest Drive, Glendale, CA
1,489 ft.... 6866 Wilton Drive, Oakland, CA
1,428 ft.... 111 West 57th Street, New York, NY
1,355 ft.... 2500 Aha Aina Place, Honolulu, HI
1,305 ft.... 1396 Summit Road, Berkeley, CA
1,289 ft.... 19356 Overlook Road, Monte Sereno, CA
1,286 ft.... 432 Park Avenue, New York, NY
1,269 ft.... 1154 Millstream Road, West Vancouver, BC
1,131 ft.... 16940 Sheldon Road, Los Gatos, CA

i believe chicago's new Vista tower will become home to the city's highest residence as soon as it opens.

roof height is ~1,200', so the top unit will will be some dimension below that.

I'd guess Central Park Tower has the highest elevation homes in NYC, given it's 153 ft. taller than 432 Park and is nearly 100 ft. higher ground elevation (West Side of Midtown generally higher elevation than East Side). Then Steinway Tower, then 432 Park.

The tallest residential towers are very impressive indeed. I am looking for the height of the tallest residential unit at Burj Khalifa but so far, I have only learned the highest residential floor, 108th floor, but I cant find the actual height of the 108th floor...

For comparison with OP's numbers, you have to subtract the lowest elevation in the metro. Wikipedia says the lowest elevation in the Phoenix metro is 735 ft, so the numbers for the places you listed would be 1125 ft and 1765-1865 ft.

Hell, even Denver would have really high residences as compared to the OP's lists, no?

OIC, highest vs. lowest point. My bad!

Thanks for the tip, I found many closer to 3,000 ft above sea level, then I subtracted the lowest elevation in the area of 636 ft.

If you frame the map with Buckeye as the far western most exurb of Phoenix, then the lowest point in the metro area is around 850 ft.

The problem is "Metro Phoenix" includes the entire county of Maricopa, and the lowest point of the county is along the Gila River at the border of Maricopa and Yuma County, about 90 minutes away from Downtown Phoenix.

The town of Alta, Utah (elevation 8,560 ft) is within the SLC MSA. The lowest point in the SLC MSA is probably the level of the Great Salt Lake (~4,200 ft), so houses in Alta are approximately 4,300 ft in our comparison. The house at 8611 Albion Basin Rd is at ~9,100 ft, so that corresponds to 4,900 ft.

I suppose it depends how one defines "Metro Area." There are some neighborhoods in the area of Aspen Park and Conifer where homes are at almost 9,700'. That's about 4,500' above the lower parts of Denver.

Mesa, AZ (flat as a table top) actually has some decent elevational relief in the city limits. From what I can see, approximately:

Highest house: 2,057 feet. 4362 N. Diamond Point
https://www.google.com/maps/@33.4930...m1!1e3!5m1!1e4

Lowest House: 1,198 feet. 3199 S. Noche De Paz

fun website.

i was told when i moved to Boise that there was about 2,000 feet in elevation change within the city limits. looks like that was close to correct.

the highest house i found was on Bogus Basin road at 4,508 feet. the lowest was along the Boise River at 2,578 feet.

our home is at a staggering 598'!

but in reality, that's only 22' higher than lake michigan's long-term average elevation of 577'.

chicago is FLAT.

According to this elevation finder, my place is 1,233 ft. above sea level. Most of the houses on my street are roughly the same, but the next street north of us is way up a hill--the house directly behind me is at 1,295 ft. Some of our backyard is flat, but most of it is ridiculously steep, and despite being here over a month, I've not yet climbed it.

Thats like 3 times higher than the highest home in Miami-Dade County. Mine comes in at around ~10 feet above sea level (that's probably the ground level, the actual home are usually elevated several feet above the street level so my actual home is probably more like 10-15feet above sea level). The highest homes are around 20 to 25 feet on the Coastal ridge.
