First BoA tonight... should be fun to watch some of the folks trying to their respective teams.

Dale Hawerchuk statue at True North square unveiled yesterday, Paul Coffey came to town to commemorate very classy move. Nice to see Paul Maclean and other Jets alumni there for it.

That looks awesome!

Coffey is a wonderful man and so this does not surprise me one bit.

Who's pumped for this season!

Calgary is going to give us a lot of trouble, as is Vancouver (up an comer), but I am very pleased with the offseason upgrades/changes.

Let's go!

---

Hockey Canada - what a cluster.

Totally excited. Lots of interesting stories for teams this year. How Florida and Calgary fare with all their changes are the biggest for me.

Hockey Canada is well-deserving of most of the crap they are currently sheltering from. I seriously don't understand their responses.

The Habs will have an historically bad season.

Petry has been downgraded to Matheson while Romanov is gone.

I do believe the 22-23 Montreal Canadiens will be the worse team in the cap era.

I usually don't care about preseason record but that fact we have lost 7 out of 7 is telling.

Probably. Last year appears to be the low-water mark. Montreal has had so few really really poor seasons in their history.

22-49-11 for 55 points

I wouldn't be surprised if they only got 50 points, but less than that might surprise me.

Will Edmonton be consistent enough, with enough work ethic and defensive enough to beat Calgary, LA, Vancouver and Vegas?

Stupid crap I notice. I'm watching the Leafs-Habs, and I notice the rink board advertising changes every minute or so. Then they go to a different camera angle and it changes, but when they go back to the standard shot it goes back. So then I realize that the main camera shot, they are superimposing the rink board ads, and on the other cameras, it shows the actual ads that are physically on the boards. I wonder how this works for who pays what for the various ads. I can't imagine the companies paying for physical board ads are paying the same rate they were since their ads are now being covered up for 98% of the broadcast and I doubt they are paying much for in person exposure. I did see many of the real ads also displayed in the virtual stream, so maybe that is included in the price they pay for real ads and then the network is able to also sell additional space.

Awful... I may have had 9 seizures.

Terrible hockey Edmonton, terrible.

We were very fortunate tonight and I like the future of the Canucks.

I know it was game one, but we looked disconnected, awful in our own end and classically hung our goalie out to dry.

Leafs lose in the best way.
Oilers win despite playing bad for the first 30mins. McDaddy hatty to finish.

A perfect night.

Came back from 0-1 and 1-2 and a late tying goal on a bad giveaway.

Lots of character in that game.
