Why not another consulate? Maybe South Korea.

They should either mothball the embassy in case relations improve in a year or two, or tear it down because low end offices don't have a future right now. If it was the latter, it could become townhomes or something eventually.

Maybe the secured facility could become a halfway house for released felons, or a mental health treatment center? Or it could be used as a data center?

I was being flippant. It's still owned by the Chinese government and subject to treaty agreements.

I noticed that in Houston, towers seem to go for a darker glass than what you see in Austin or somewhere like Vancouver.

Is it to keep the AC from having to work too hard?

Austin is just as hot as Houston, if not hotter.

Neat. I guess they are converting the building already there. Great location, a block away from a light rail step and 100 affordable units.

UTHealth old dental building demo update. Prime location, too bad MDACC isn't building a tower here. I'm sure they will, be it'll be in 10 years.

I doubt it. I think it's prolly just the color the architect likes. But darker colors do perform better than lighter colors in the winter when it is cold in Houston.

It's the old abandoned Days Inn that looks like it finally might be renovated.

Per @buffalobayou & @houparksboard work started on Buffalo Bayou trail along north of @DowntownHouston from Allen's Landing to McKee. One of the major donors was Gerald Hines, who died last week. Partnership pres. Anne Olson called it "a fitting tribute to his remarkable legacy."

Adding more parks to downtown, while connecting the bike trail.
