Yes, that's a good idea with the voting.

When can we start posting our buildings?

You can start making buildings now but you'd have to wait till we decide on a map then i'll model it and set up a grid then post the land lots for you to put the building on, or if you want too i will place the building that's ok

Ok, once we have a grid then I'll pick a plot.

Cool Dac

What if we decide on 8 textures from Sketch Up to use ?
some of them almost look real .
The good thing is you can all edit the shade of the texture , as long as the name stays the same - the dimensions must stay the same though

That's good. For this buildng (well it's a twin tower complex) I am using green glass, with black (for like an aluminum siding).

That's cool send me a file of the material you use so i can add it to the palette so that others can use it ,

i know it's difficult but it's the only way for good renders is to all use the same materials.

I was thinking of adding these also , keep in mind you can edit the shade but not the size

I'm using the texture the guy is on for the patio of a house I'm making(not for this city though).

I'll make buildings but with windows only because if I do floor-by-floor it will take a long time and a lot of memory. Maybe I'll do 1930's type of buildings and a couple of glass towers. Oh, I'll definitely make antennas because almost all cities have antennas and a freestanding structure or 2. Wait I'm really interested in making parks and public areas but all I need are trees because I only have sucky looking trees.

Anyways, I feel good. I just bought a 100% organic cotton shirt with corn inc. Awesome.

I'm doing floor by floor by my buildings. Being that there boxes and all, it doesn't take no longer than 30 minutes if I work straigh through.

[QUOTE=austin55;3216929]It takes you 30 minutes to do a box!/QUOTE]

It takes 30 minutes to do a floor by floor (like Alek does in La Corte) with a lot of detail. The boxes I make in Hutchinson I can bang out in like 10-15 minutes.

1 hour for that 7 World Trade is pretty good time. I thought it would have taken more. I know malec spends up to 11 hours on those marina buildings.
