Thank you Patrick! Hutchinson Square will extend down Broadway for the most part. 1 Hutchinson Square will actually be right next to 1616 Broadway on a triangular piece of property. I am currently working on the tower that goes along with the billboards. It should be done by tomorrow.

Thumbs up Good Old Chamberlin.

Here are just a few shots of Chamberlin I put together. I'll paste the city into the Hutchinson file once I get some more done.

I must say (and don't mean to sound like a jerk), but I love this city. The grid, the buildings, the character. I can easily see this be a real city.

Yeah, the first shot is the best.

Hey Dac, is TRI supposed to be T then R then I? Or is it one word like Tri (pronounced like try)? I know it's short for the company but I just wanna know if it's in letters or continuous.

Exclamation Just a few old pics

When I was cleaning old files out of my laptop this afternoon I found these pics of Hutchinson, and figured why not post them. So here they are, just a few shots of the Square and other random city shots.

Well, perhaps if I can prevent the Chamberlin file from acting slow, I can continue work on it. It seems like it was a big hit, so if you guys want me to continue it then I'll gladly do so. I liked that city a lot, and it was by far the my most favorite I ever built.

I've just been heads down on school related work and gearing up for the break return, plus a million other things. That is why Tablemount never took off.

I'd say expect a new thread for Chamberlin sometime this coming weekend, and we'll play the updates by year for the next few weeks.

Austin- the bridge isn't falling down, the road deck is just desceding to what was going to be a highway. I never finished it. And yeah, the signage in the Square is pretty cool, and is always fun to make.

Wow, I was looking through some of the old sketchup threads and I found this, perhaps my finest sketchup project ever and longest lasting for that matter.

Sadly all of this is gone as it was on my previous hard-drive which crashed.

I spent some time looking back at it, Chamberlin was quite a city, I mean wow, the planning was to die for, just gorgeous.

Ever plan on resurrecting Hutchinson?

If I could find a way to prevent lagging then I would love to give it another shot, or bring it back with more detail. That's the downside with laptops, they have their good sides, but running sketchup isn't one of them. But we'll see.

Very well though out city. The massing looks very realistic! This is one of the cities that attracted me to this forum in the first place.

Thanks Vellu, and good find Austin.

I think what I'm going to do is load sketch up onto a PC and see if it runs any better on that. Then hopefully I can start something up again.

Yeah, your cities were always good. Even though you didnt have the fancy models or renders you always had realistic ideas. And the skylines looked to flow well because you paid attention to everything from the skyline to the streets, you didn't just create random buildings and place them in a lot.

It's weird that your computer couldn't handle this. Btw Dac, how's college?

College is going great, I'm having a lot of fun with it and keeping busy. Currently enjoying a nice 3 1/2 month long break.

As for the city, I think I'm going to just let this one fade into the sunset and create something new. If I just copy and paste sections into the city, it'll allow me to use more detail for each lot, so I'll give it a shot. I'm already working on the grid, nothing fancy, but I'll introduce it later on.
