100 Largest US Cities by Gen Z(Under Age 25) Median HH Income

This is actually 99 cities and I can't for the life of me figure out which 1 city I'm missing and it's aggravating, so if you don't see your city, PLEASE let me know.

Anyway, Google says that "Generation Z" is persons born between 1997 – 2012(ages 10 – 25). The data below is the median household income for households headed by a person of this age group.

Fremont, California is a suburb on the border of the Oakland side of the Bay and San Jose. I describe it as typical CA suburb imo but apparently it has a lot of high earning people under age 25.

ALSO, Irvine, California is a very affluent, highly desirable place, so for it to score dead last, and by quite a margin, is a real head scratcher. Irvine has a huge University of California campus so maybe all those students is impacting those numbers, who knows? I have inquired further information from the Census Bureau because i actually think it's a mistake, but haven't heard back yet.

Anyway, this is by CITY PROPER

Fremont has a staggering amount of visible poverty too. Lots of 25 year olds in Teslas and but a lot of either living out of their cars or in houses about to cave in. Meta has a huge presence here hence likely an over representation of young people making good money.

The 510 is like that, unless you live on a hill, generally the wealthy and poor live in very close proximity to one another.

California’s minimum wage is 30K a year. Maybe college kids working part-time jobs? Does a dorm count as a household?

Phoenix Metro has very rapidly gone from a cheap place 10 years ago to a moderately expensive place today. But my guess is there is a solid amount of post college grads getting jobs in finance and tech in Scottsdale/Chandler/Tempe and living in the east valley cities (Gilbert for early family types and Scottsdale for the single young professional types).

When My social circle was 25ish we were all living in Scottsdale/Arcadia making like 60k (give or take) a year and that was almost 10 years ago now.

The Rapid increase in COL is going to become a problem because wages on the low end have not at all kept up. Good news is there is a lot of manufacturing jobs moving into the city to help with that.

Utica has more Zoomers making $200k than Boulder, Hartford and Columbia? I wonder if that list includes dope dealers.
