you wouldn't even be able to see it from this angle, maybe just a peek, but so what if it is next to the Esquire and it is only 1 story?
The Majestic has a 3 story next to it, the Marriott Rivercenter has a mall next to it and the Hilton has la Villita next to it.
And PSL(if it truly isn't dead) is going to have the Mexican Manhattan next to it at an amazing 1 floor as well. The Aloft will have the Ticket bar next to it at 1 floor as well.
Sure that might not be as big of difference as 24 to 1 but isn't that what makes urban landscapes great? the little oddities that make you kinda wonder?
Instead of wondering what a 24 story hotel (W) is doing there, maybe people will wonder how the Esquier has survived all the development?

or that the Fairmont was moved to make way for the Marriott RC? (world record by the way)
or the fact that nobody can believe that the Alamo is in the middle of DT and that it is so small in person?
I wish they had as much opposition to a parking lot next to anything DT.
