That's a new update in the last few days.
So a McDonald's, Wendy's, or something along those lines is likely. Hopefully they start showing some finalized deals in the coming months. Also it looks like #7 is half-leased out. They going to subdivide it I'm assuming?

Interestingly, QSR is also the stock ticker for Restaurant Brands - so maybe both 7 and 8 are going to franchises of "QSR" and only one franchisee has been found (and signed).
Restaurants Brands has Burger King, Tim Hortons and Popeyes.

They have a Tim Hortons in Phase 1. Would seem to eliminate a second Tim Horton's so close by?

Save on Foods is opening then. I would imagine that the rest would as well then.

Popeyes would be really busy if it opened there. The 64th location needs some relief.

I went to the official Popeye's social media page and suggested King George Hub would be a perfect location to open a new store. (crossing fingers)

PriceSmart is the Asian chain now, so depends on whether there is that need there (I guess it could focus on East Indian / South Asian foods.

There's already a couple Chalo FreshCo's not to mention many fruiticana locations throughout the city so I don't think we'll see a South Asian grocer take the place of that save on foods location.

Isn't that entire complex part of future Georgetown phases? Once save on moves out they'll probably just demolish the building for redevelopment.

It was a later phase so I guess it's not imminent.

A report to council notes Save-On Foods and Canadian Tire will continue to operate, on the northern side of the site, where future phases are proposed to be built, approximately 325 metres away from Surrey Central SkyTrain Station across King George Boulevard.

They said that save on will continue to operate, but the planning report for Georgetown was written a while ago. There's no way both will be operating at the same time, or else both stores will have poor performance

They'll most likely demolish the building once the new save on opens. The property will probably just sit empty till phase 7 construction of Georgetown is set to begin.

Might turn into a "Spirit Halloween" or other temporary stores until that time, kind of how the old Best Buy at 100 and KGB did.

The external elevator on the shorter twin tower is on it's way down as is the crane for the office building.

Thanks for the update. The new office building turned out well and provides a nicely restrained compliment to the more exaggerated Coast Capital HQ next door.
