Very nice!

I guess it's just a rendering but they need to find a better place for that trash dumpster.

The south end of Buckhead is changing a lot. Isn't there supposed to be another new medical building going up across from Piedmont?

Yeah... This is one of the least attractive highrises proposed right now, and I guess it's just a requirement that all of the buildings around Phipps engage the street horribly.

Here is a higher resolution picture. I personally like this project because it isn't the same old floor to ceiling all glass boxes.

This building looks absolutely dreadful. There's no way in hell the developer behind this actually believes its a good design. And I seriously doubt they're targeting anyone under 50. Because the only building built within the last few years that's somewhat similar is The Hallmark Buckhead, and that building is for senior living. I mean, how could they look across the street and actually think this is acceptable. This building was originally supposed to be a 39-story tower. The height was probably reduced because of financing. And that's fine, just don't screw us over with the aesthetics as well. No love went into this building, and it shows.

Looks like a condo tower you'd see in Panama City.

And I don't mean the one in Panama.

Nasty

This is a case where a parking lot would actually be better.

My thoughts exactly. Thank goodness we have the DRC in Midtown, that would never let garbage like this pass (at least not anymore). Does Buckhead not have a similar review body?

Looks like a condo on the beach. So many little innocent dryvits die in the making of those towers every year.

Financing had nothing to do with the decision to make the tower shorter it was traffic concerns

From the article:

Committee members asked the developers to further shield the parking deck from street view, and would like to see a better connection between the building and the sidewalk. Wood Partners will amend their plan and return to the committee next month.

Good to know.

Typical for a lot of Buckhead unfortunately.
