An errand and early afternoon lunch in my immediate neighborhood...
Faux mission-style strip mall, parking lot and palm trees. How LA is that?

And then on to my favorite LA County beach community for the rest of the day, because, to quote a Hole song, down by the sea is where you drown your scars.

Side-by-side electric cars. Ever since my brother-in-law let me drive his Tesla a few months ago, I've become obsessed with electric cars and how they work.

Love that last photo, now who said that we have don’t have seasons and autumn colors in Southern California. We see a lot in the San Fernando Valley. Before someone start complaining I will admit it’s still not like what you see in the Northeast. I just wanted to point it out that we also see the seasonal changes.
Yes! I've always loved Hermosa, and Redondo has a special place in my heart---a lot of childhood memories there.

Yes, we do indeed get the seasonal changes, some not so subtle, and some very subtle.
When I pulled into my street I thought the lighting was beautiful, so I just had to get my camera and take a picture of it before the sun started setting further.

No work half-day and company holiday lunch today (12.24.2020); because of the COVID pandemic, my employer decided to give everyone the day off instead, so we'll have a 4-day weekend.
So it was a kickback, take it easy kind of day for me... with some errands to run, and a day to avoid some crowds. A very gray day and some rain, too---which I loved.
That Tommy's Hamburger is definitely not world famous...I was in Australia did not know, I was in Canada did not know, I was in Japan did not know, I was in South Korea did not know, I was in Singapore did not know, I was in Thailand did not know...how come as world famous?

Think of it as false advertising? I always thought the baseball "World Series" was a misnomer, being that the whole world isn't involved, although one can argue that if Canada's one major league baseball team makes it to the "World Series," it's more of an "International Series," kind of like how if an airport has flights to even just one country outside of its own, it is an "international airport."
I always thought that "world famous" was an expression not to be taken literally, although after reading your comment, it made me want to look it up in regards to Tommy's. And I saw this on their website; scroll down to "Promotion": https://originaltommys.com/about/
