Building permit for phase I was issued by the City on May 24, 2019. Looks like it will have 7-storey of underground parking lots.

Wow, only $11 million to build phase 1? Oh, wait, they only got a permit for the hole - not for Phase 1.

Well they wont be able to build 7 levels of underground parade in that area, unless they are going off the top elevation and only allowing 6'6" height . As they don't have the right equipment to build that. The drill rigs are not set up to go down 150 plus feet that is required. And I don't think anywhere in North america has gone that deep.

shallow hole as the BP refers to a 7 story podium on underground parkade. with future towers.

I was under the impression that this project was being built on (mostly) a flood plain.
(or on top of a high water table)

Which would mean there's almost no way they're doing 7 storeys of underground parkade unless they do some serious (and super-expensive) dewatering and shoring.

Regardless the question is academic.
The application is for 7 storeys of both podium and underground parking.
The renders of the project (to the degree that they can be relied on for any accuracy or reliable information) show a podium that's 4-5 storeys tall.

Which means, by the process of literal deduction, that the underground parkade is most likely going to be 2-3 levels deep.
Theoretically speaking.

Which makes sense for a project with towers of this size and in an area with a high water table such as this.

There will be over 1,700 parking stalls for phase 1's 1,563 condo units. Amazing Brentwood has 6 storeys of underground parkades.

And again, Amazing Brentwood isn't prone to heavy floods. To say otherwise requires a more credible source than your own blog.

Down the valley around still creek is certainly prone to flooding (it's essentially reclaimed swampland), but the Brentwood area is much higher and doesn't experience the same issues. The same can't really be said for the area around Gilmore Place, though. The road is sometimes closed at Lougheed & Gilmore during flood events.

It may be right bit that does not translate into a 7 levels of underground below the Gilmore Dawson elevation. The floor count for parking would refer to most.likely the north east corner of the lot. And they don't seem.to.be in a u hurry to get started which is confusing

Some flooding late last year in this area.

Not to mention the crows... so many of them... can't be well for this development.

I think they're just trolling GilmoreStation.

It's the sort of thing he loves to do in other projects' threads just to talk them down and pop in with all manner of unsubstantiated negative info. about them.

In this case, I'm pretty certain it's a play on the expression,....."a murder of crows",.....which is how you refer to a flock of crows together.
The area DOES have a lot of crows, and that hardly needs to be substantiated.
So when you say there are a lot of "murders" there, it might just be more in the figurative sense of the word.

(and of course, I've ruined the joke by explaining it)

Wow.
He's still not getting the joke.
Even after I went through all the trouble of explaining it.
This guy is something else.

I think it's me who ruined it by explaining it.
But since it benefitted you and anyone else that may not have been familiar with the expression, I suppose it wasn't a total loss.

Unfortunately, on the other hand,..... the target of the joke........
