One thing I appreciate about all this is the "angularity" or simply angle, of it. At first, I was sorry to see the rotunda go, and the open space next to it filled up, but now, I find the prospect of the glassy Apple Store
and the green wall all amplified by the angle at which the building is 'sheared' if you will. Also, if you look at the second-to-last picture in mcminsen's 4:i0 am series, you can see how looking SE, the angular roof of Vancouver Centre 2 echoes an angle and sort of ties into it from a distance. My one regret here is that the Four Seasons couldn't have been redone in a snazzier way, but, that of course, is $$, (and another topic.)
