I wish someone with the ability would be able to post all proposed buildings into this skyline picture.

Here's a quick one with only a few projects:

I'd like to add the Roy Building, Discovery Centre, etc. Also I think the Bank of Canada is backwards -- I used the Hollis Street elevation and the eastern elevation may look different.

One interesting effect here is elevation of the different sites. TD is at about 10 m and the Nova Centre is at about 30 m so they both appear to be a little taller than they would around Lower Water Street (though they're also farther back -- they'll look quite tall in telephoto skyline shots though).

I'd love to look at a picture of the skyline circa 2000 and compare it with something like the fuller panorama someone123 just posted from the year 2020 or so, where we can really see the huge difference in the skyline.

Thank you so very much, what a difference just these few projects will make to the skyline. Please keep this updated with all the developments. I can only imagine once the new site next to Bishop's Landing and the Alexander, plus The Roy are added to this, what it would look like...

^^That is a nice photo. Make sure to thank your friend for sharing it.

I was up in Russell Lake West today and snapped this panorama from the interchange. Citadel Hotel, TD Tower, and the Central Library can be seen along with the Mary-Ann and Nova Centre cranes. Click on photo for larger sizes (it gets quite blurry from the wind messing with the zoom).

I know someone on this forum has the knowhow. I'd like to see this skyline with all the approved buildings superimposed into it.

Ah the joys of bicycle commuting you just can't beat riding over the MacDonald Bridge during sunset;

Don't the rules about using cellphones while driving also apply to cyclists?

^Yes the laws are the same for all motorists. However, on the bikeway you are allowed to stop unlike the no stopping rule on the vehicular lanes on both bridges.

Usage of the bikeway seems to be up compared to two years ago which is nice. There is actually some congestion occuring during rush-hour now but its still faster than driving which is nice. I'm going to miss it this time next year but hopefully the plans for an improved Halifax connection make up for the annoyance. I hear the closure of Chain-Of-Lakes this summer will result in some nice upgrades to HRM's busiest AT-trail (~140'000 users per year) and there are plans for upgrades on the MacDonald so hopefully its short-term pain for long-term gain.

The trail will be paved throughout. They are in the process of flattening out the rockbed to be able to pave. It looks like it will be a little wider as well. This is true for the Bayers Lake end, I can't say for sure if they are as far along or further at the Joe Howe end.

^They will also be installing a parking lot in Bayers Lake, creating pedestrian islands at the Bayers Lake street crossings, installing two new connections to some streets off of Joe Howe, and extending the trail northwards along Joe Howe to a new crosswalk (where the rail-crossing was previously).
