Hmm... Every rendering I've ever seen showed the "wings" of the oculus as free floating. Each wing independent. I noticed that as they now have 2 wings installed on the northwest corner, that there is a tubular rod connecting them together. I was hoping that this connector was just a temporary construction element (like the welded on plates for crane hoising) but I did some digging and unfortunately it seems like they're permanent.

Further, it looks like there's two awkward transfer connector blocks midway through. with a number of cross braces between those two wings.
