BTW, what is happening at 15th & Walnut, the old LA Fitness spot? The interior is gutted.
You know I want all good things too. I see a lot of good (like construction starting at Jewelers Row and 1700 Walnut), but I also see stagnation (not cancellation) of other plans, like the Penn's Landing Park. But I am hopeful they all actually start this year!
And I see a 500' or 600' tower/s (maybe the red building on JFK and something near Rittenhouse), but 800' is a wish. The last 800'+ tower was Comcast 2 and before that Comcast 1. But again, let's hope for big things!

Honestly no clue what’s going on at the old LA fitness space. Haven’t heard anything. Hopefully something interesting! There were some nice additions and relocations on Walnut Street in 2022 including Outdoor Voices, Madewell, Glossier, Vans, Tiffany & Co., J. Crew, Brooklinen, Free People, Gorjana, Express Edit, etc. etc. More great additions will be opening soon in Aritzia, ThirdLove, Parachute, Nike, Joybird, etc… and I know of at least 3-4 rumors that haven’t been announced yet either.
Philadelphia is already getting 500-600 footers. W/Element is 617 feet tall. Laurel is 604 feet tall. Arthaus is 528 feet tall. For proposed Broad & Lombard is 552 feet, 115 S. 19th Street is 611 feet tall, 3001 JFK as mentioned at Schuylkill Yards is 512 feet tall… I could see one or two more 500-600 foot proposals this year, but I just feel Philadelphia is due for another taller building and something bigger is coming. Whether that’s Schuylkill Yards or something else.
Guess we’ll see and time will tell!!!
